Move item to a group upon checklist completion

Follow this guide if you’d like to automatically move your items to a certain group once all of the checklist items are marked as completed.  This can be handy for cases where you'd like to automatically move an item to Done when all of the checklist items are marked as completed.

  1. Access custom automations

1.1 Click on the “Automate” button located on the upper right of your workspace


1.2 Click on the "Create Custom Automation" button

  1. Choose a trigger

2.1 Start typing “checklist” for the “When this happens” trigger. The Smart Checklist app should appear in the list. Select it.

Note: A “When checklist is completed” trigger will be added.

  1. Pick an action

3.1 Select “move item to group” for the “Then do this” action

  1. Select a condition

4.1 Select a group from the list

  1. Add the automation to your board

5.1 Click on the “Create Automation” button

You’re done. This automation will be turned on by default. Your items will now be moved to the specified group once all of the checklist items are completed.
